Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker is a vital member of our home care team at Qualicare, Mississauga. Under the supervision of the Care Coordinator, this role involves providing various personal care services to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our clients.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks to meet individual dietary needs.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Accompany clients on outings and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
  • Assist with medication reminders and administration, as needed.
  • Transport clients safely and comfortably to appointments and activities.
  • Provide emotional support and empathy to clients and their families.
  • Document and chart client progress, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student).
  • Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain.
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Ability to travel around the location territory.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
