About the RoleWe are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our Growth Data Engineering team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and products that power Stripe's Growth, Sales, and Marketing teams.
Responsibilities- Identify data needs for Growth, Sales, and Marketing teams, and build efficient and scalable data products and pipelines to enable data-driven decisions.
- Design, develop, and own data pipelines, models, and products that power Stripe's Growth, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Collaborate with the Data Science team to apply and generalize statistical and econometric models on large datasets.
- Develop strong subject matter expertise and manage SLAs for data pipelines and full-stack web applications.
- Build and refine Stripe's Customer Engagement Data Service, collecting, curating, mastering, enriching, and presenting a single view of user interactions with Stripe.
- Design and build client libraries and frameworks to log events and track user behavior.
- Refine existing data marts to help Sales and Marketing teams forecast future performance and measure ongoing attainment.
- Build data pipelines to track key GTM product metrics and measure the impact of different GTM strategies.
- Integrate experimentation infrastructure to enable full-funnel measurement and personalization of experiences.
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering, with a focus on building data pipelines and applications powered by big data.
- Strong engineering background and interest in data.
- Prior experience with writing and debugging data pipelines using distributed data frameworks.
- Inquisitive nature and ability to dive into data inconsistencies to pinpoint issues.
- Knowledge of scientific computing languages and SQL.
- Experience with full-stack development languages and front-end frameworks.
- Ability to communicate cross-functionally and derive requirements.
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users.
Pay and BenefitsThe annual salary range for this role in the primary location is C$134,400 - C$201,600. This range may change if you are hired in another location.
