We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Women's Ambulatory Clinics. As a member of our Clinical Team, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients and families in the Ambulatory Clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients and families in the Ambulatory Clinic setting, including General Gynaecology, Uro-Gynaecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist physicians with minor procedures and provide education to patients and families.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduate from an approved two-year Practical Nursing program.
- Registered or eligible to be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Recent clinical experience in administration of medication and assisting physicians with minor procedures.
- Ability to teach on a one-to-one basis and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of Women's Health, Women's Reproductive Endocrinology, and Women's Pelvic Floor.
- Experience in Uro-dynamic studies and Non-violent Crisis Intervention an asset.
