Sawmill Labourer

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Sawmill Labourer to join our team at Hawa + Jones Millwork Inc. As a Sawmill Labourer, you will play a vital role in the maintenance and operation of our sawmill equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Assist processing workers in the maintenance and repair of various pulp and paper machines and equipment.
- Operate various woodworking machines and equipment to ensure efficient production.
- Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines to facilitate the production process.
- Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials as required.
- Sort, pile, and transport wood products to meet production demands.
- Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing to minimize waste.
- Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
As a Sawmill Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced sawmill environment with exposure to noise and dust. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads, making physical stamina and attention to detail essential for this role.
Requirements- Repetitive tasks and physically demanding work environment.
- Ability to handle heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
- Bonus and commission opportunities.
- Free parking available on site.
- Permanent work term with 40 hours per week.
- Work language: English.
