We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Sawmill Labourer to join our team at Hawa + Jones Millwork Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sawmill.
Key Responsibilities- Assist processing workers in the maintenance and repair of pulp and paper machines and equipment
- Operate woodworking machines and equipment to support production
- Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines to optimize production
- Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials as required
- Sort, pile, and transport wood products to meet quality and quantity standards
- Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing
- Clean machines and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
As a Sawmill Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with exposure to noise and dust. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
Requirements- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and bending
