Salary:


The estimated annual salary for this position is $42,000 at 60% FTE, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024. This figure reflects the expected compensation range of $42,000 per year for a part-time position.

Job Description:


As a Senior Research Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of researchers by providing technical and scientific guidance. Your expertise in biomass handling and preprocessing will be invaluable in managing and developing Biomass/Bioenergy R&D programs, supported by key external sponsors. You will also collaborate with the BBRG team to enhance research-funding opportunities and partner with the Biomass and Bioenergy Research Group PIs to create and implement a strategic vision for the Biomass/Bioenergy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of researchers in technical and scientific endeavors
Manage and develop Biomass/Bioenergy R&D programs
Collaborate with the BBRG team to enhance research-funding opportunities
Partner with Biomass and Bioenergy Research Group PIs to develop a strategic vision

Required Skills and Qualifications:


To be successful in this role, you will need a Ph.D. in applied science or engineering and minimum 3 years of research experience in biomass handling and preprocessing. Additionally, you should possess excellent leadership, strategic, technical, financial, and operational expertise.
