About the Role

NTT DATA Services is seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our Health Care Technology Group, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex software systems that support the recordkeeping and administration of health benefits and life insurance plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software applications using Java and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to a teamwork environment by actively participating in peer project reviews, code reviews, and design reviews.

Requirements

  • 5-9 years of development experience with 2-3 years of technical leadership experience at a senior level.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Excellent understanding of Java 8 capabilities, lambda, streams, and functional interfaces.
  • Strong SQL skills and an excellent understanding of data management.
