About the Role

NTT DATA Services is seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our Health Care Technology Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting the recordkeeping and administration of health benefits and life insurance plans for corporate clients, their employees, and retirees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality Java applications using Spring Boot and Tomcat
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions that meet business requirements
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement
  • Contribute to a teamwork environment by actively participating in peer project reviews, code reviews, and design reviews

Requirements

  • 5-9 years of development experience with 2-3 years of technical leadership experience at a senior level
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Excellent understanding of Java 8 capabilities, lambda, streams, and functional interfaces
  • Strong SQL skills and an excellent understanding of data management
