Drilling Rig Operator

We are seeking a skilled Motorhand to join our team at Precision Drilling Canada Limited Partnership. As a Motorhand, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, and other mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick
- Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, and other mechanical equipment
- Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs
- Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at rig floor during drilling and during removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits
- Handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials
- Clean up rig areas
- Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment
- Standard First Aid Certificate
- Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
- Rig Worker Fall Protection
- Confined Space Entry Training
- Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
This is a seasonal position that requires working outdoors in various locations, including rural areas and remote locations. You will be exposed to heights, confined spaces, and hazardous conditions.
