Job Title: Motorhand - Oil and Gas Drilling

We are seeking a skilled Motorhand to join our team at Precision Drilling Canada Limited Partnership. As a Motorhand, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, and other mechanical equipment.

Job Summary:

The Motorhand will be responsible for aligning and manipulating sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick, operating and maintaining drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, and other mechanical equipment, and assisting in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs.

Responsibilities:
  • Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick
  • Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, and other mechanical equipment
  • Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs
  • Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at rig floor during drilling and during removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits
  • Handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials
  • Clean up rig areas
Requirements:
  • Standard First Aid Certificate
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
  • Rig Worker Fall Protection
  • Confined Space Entry Training
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Work Environment:

The Motorhand will work in a fast-paced environment with heavy loads, physically demanding tasks, and repetitive tasks. The work site environment will be outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and in dangerous conditions.
