Job Summary
The New Frontiers School Board is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our daycare service, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for young students to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct activities that promote the overall development of students in preschool and elementary school.
- Ensure the health and safety of students at all times.
- Assist students with dressing, undressing, and meal preparation.
- Record student attendance and maintain accurate records.
- Administer first aid and medications as needed.
- Communicate with parents and staff regarding student behavior and progress.
- Participate in meetings to discuss student files and develop individualized education plans.
Requirements
- Secondary School Diploma and Attestation of Vocational Studies in Day Care Services or equivalent.
- One year of relevant experience working with elementary students.
- Written and oral proficiency in English and French.
- Additional studies related to childcare are an asset.
