We are seeking an experienced Sr. Back-End Software Developer to join our team in Downtown Toronto, where you will play a pivotal role in building the architecture that powers our cutting-edge medical data processing system.

The position offers a hybrid model requiring on-site presence at least twice a week, with a competitive compensation package including health and dental coverage, stock options, and generous paid time off.

About the Role:

  • Designing and Developing Efficient Code: You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient Python code that powers our back-end systems and ML pipeline.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, ensuring the robustness of our system.
  • Data Structures and Algorithms: Handle complex data structures and algorithms to ensure seamless data processing in our system.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Take on additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic working environment.
  • Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation for system components and architecture.
  • Collaboration: Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Back-End Developer with extensive experience in Python.
  • Proficiency in using Python frameworks like Django or Flask.
  • Experience with database systems like SQL or NoSQL.
  • Strong familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • An understanding of automation practices throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
