As a Principal Data Scientist - AI Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the AI strategy and driving the development of innovative AI solutions across our platform. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's growth and success by leading AI technology and architectural initiatives and ensuring their alignment with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Define and drive the AI Technology and Architectural directions for Seismic, ensuring alignment with business goals and product roadmaps.
- Work hands-on with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to build AI & ML applications, assessing tradeoffs and evaluating options to deliver high-quality and high-value product solutions.
- Lead the integration of AI capabilities across the Seismic platform, including data foundation, conversational intelligence, video analysis, content management, and discovery systems.
- Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to the data science and engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and techniques in AI and ML, conducting research and experimentation to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Define and analyze key metrics to measure the success of AI initiatives, ensuring high-quality, high-performance, scalable, and reliable solutions.
- 15+ years of experience (or 12+ years of experience with advanced degrees) in data science and AI, with a proven track record of building AI software products, and leading technical efforts.
- Strong expertise in AI & ML model and use case development, including hands-on experience with Python or related languages for data analytics, GenAI, and machine learning.
- Extensive experience in SaaS application development and cloud technologies, with a deep understanding of modern machine learning technologies and operational infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience in collaborating with product management and design, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive successful delivery.
- Bachelor's or master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven company.
