Job Summary

Brandt is currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician - Material Handling for our Regina location. This role involves performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on customer and/or dealer-owned equipment in a timely and efficient manner.

As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for resolving customer issues, maintaining a high level of productivity, and ensuring a quality of work metric of 98%. You will also be required to accurately record all work done for customer and warranty records, maintain current product knowledge, and follow all safety rules and regulations.

  • Financial Performance:
  • Work within budgets and approvals provided by the Service Manager.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and gross margin.
  • Meet quality of work metric targets.
Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment, including forklifts, stackers, electric carts, and electric tow trucks.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Utilizing drill presses, grinders, air compressors, and common hand/power tools to perform repairs.
  • Preparing reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
  • Required Skills:
  • Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and electrical systems of battery and engine-powered material handling equipment.
  • Experience with the use of hand tools and measuring devices, and electrical/electronic diagnostic tools/measurements.
  • Knowledge and experience with industrial equipment, including lifting/rigging, maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial mechanical service equipment.
