Harminder Transport LTD is seeking an experienced Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of truck drivers and ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.
Responsibilities:- Training and Development: Train or arrange for training of truck drivers to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties efficiently.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate and schedule activities to optimize the use of resources and minimize downtime.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
- Personnel Management: Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, disciplinary measures, and terminations.
- Logistics and Supply Chain: Co-ordinate repairs and rentals of equipment, as well as requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Supervision: Supervise and mentor truck drivers to improve their performance and productivity.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Degree of Autonomy: This position is permanent, offering a stable work environment with opportunities for growth and development.
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
- Languages: English is the primary language used in this role.
