Job Title: Restaurant Captain

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Restaurant Captain to join our team at OV Burger Bar. As a Restaurant Captain, you will be responsible for leading a team of servers and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of servers to provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure that all servers are aware of menu items, daily specials, and wine selection
  • Train new staff members on our service standards and procedures
  • Balance cash and record sales
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Advise on menu selections and wine pairings
  • Supervise other servers and bussing staff
  • Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Serving It Right Certificate
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
