About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. They will diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment and determine the extent of repair required. Additionally, they will order parts, maintain inventory, adjust equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine mechanics and experience working with heavy trucks. They will possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
