Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at MANITOBA LTD. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our vehicles, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Operate and Drive: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of our vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Documentation: Familiarity with driver logbooks and inspection reports.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and sitting for extended periods.
  • Tools and Equipment: Possession of a cellular phone and other necessary tools and equipment.
