Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at MANITOBA LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials across the country. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from the truck, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Operate and Drive: Operate and drive a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials across the country, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Inspect Vehicle: Regularly inspect the vehicle to ensure that it is in good working condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Record Information: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as required.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that all communication is clear and concise.
Requirements:
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks) and a Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Driver Logbook: Maintain a driver logbook, as required.
  • Inspection Report: Complete a pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspection report, as required.
Work Environment:

This is an on-the-road job, requiring the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to spend extended periods away from home, adhering to a regular schedule.
