About the Role:

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Employee Experience and Well-being Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and experience of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement employee well-being programs and initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver health and wellness programs that meet the evolving needs of our employees.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees on well-being and employee experience-related matters.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and best practices in employee well-being and experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to support employee well-being initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in human resources, health sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employee well-being, workplace wellness, health promotion, and/or human resources.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to function as a collaborative team member.
  • Experience using human resources/payroll systems and database reporting.
  • Ability to lead the development and implementation of projects.
  • Strong human relations skills and ability to interact with employees in a unionized and non-unionized environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Experience using computerized human resources/payroll system and reporting software preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and corporate email.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment where duties and priorities shift regularly.
  • Ability to work in a confidential setting independently and under time constraints.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills to proactively problem-solve.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders and employees.
