About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fabricator to join our team at Heath & Sherwood (1964) Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding and metal shaping techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution
    • Interpret welding process specifications and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and repair of metal parts and products.
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal according to specifications.
  • Metal Fabrication and Repair
    • Fabricate and repair metal parts and products using various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
    • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to shape and form metal according to specifications.
  • Quality Control and Safety
    • Ensure all fabricated and repaired metal parts and products meet quality and safety standards.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in metal fabrication and repair.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
    • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
