Job Title: Welder-Fitter

Heath & Sherwood (1964) Limited is seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Welder-Fitter to work in our metal fabrication department. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, and operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using previously set-up welding machines and bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal using previously set-up brazing or soldering machines.
  • Work in a team environment and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered.
