Heavy Industry Manufacturing Technician

This is a production operator role at IKO Industries Ltd., where you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our manufacturing equipment.
Compensation PackageWe offer a competitive hourly rate of $28.95, with potential for further increases as you grow with our company. Additionally, after completing your probationary period, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and company-matching RRSP plan.
Job ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be working in a heavy-industrial manufacturing environment and will be required to:
- Adhere to safety policies, programs, procedures, and complete health & safety pre-start checklists.
- Ensure product quality meets established specifications by documenting quality checks at regular intervals.
- Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures and safely manage counterbalance, propane-powered forklifts.
- Document production numbers and contribute to downtime reduction using our computerized system and hand-written reports.
- Maintain general housekeeping duties and perform additional tasks assigned by supervisory staff.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- Experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing, construction, or similar industries.
- Counter-balance forklift operating experience (recommended).
- Comfortable working in dusty environments and possessing manual dexterity.
- Excellent attention to detail and fluent verbal and written English skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work at heights and in confined spaces.
