About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Design Technologist to join our team at BC Hydro.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain electrical distribution systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Design and implement efficient and safe electrical distribution systems.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure system integrity and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in electrical utilities or a related field.
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
  • English language proficiency.
