Financial Controller

As a seasoned financial professional, you will lead all aspects of finance, accounting, and risk management functions for our organization. You will apply your expertise and knowledge to perform a variety of assignments for our Personal, Savings, and Investments business.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the accounting implications of new products and initiatives to enable business partners to make informed decisions.
- Review monthly actual results and variance analysis, as well as quarterly financial disclosures and related variance analysis.
- Assess financial risk and establish proper infrastructure and processes to ensure financial results are reported accurately and risks are adequately managed.
- Perform timely Balance Sheet reconciliations and attestations, including review of Standard of Documentation (SODs).
- Assist with data strategy projects and ad hoc initiatives to enhance the transparency and accuracy of our data.
- 4+ years of working experience, ideally with an audit firm or financial institution.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent designation.
- Strong IFRS working knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of retail banking products or willingness to develop that knowledge.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deliverables within a tight timeline.
- Accounting, Accounting Finance, Decision Making, Financial Controlling, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Group Problem Solving, Internal Controls, Long Term Planning, Organizational Savvy and Politics, Prioritization, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Control, Strategic Thinking, Time Management, Waterfall Project Management.
