Job Summary

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to children and their families navigating cancer and blood disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and evaluate patient care, providing nursing care according to the standards of practice for Registered Nurses.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.

Requirements

  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or willingness to complete within 6 months from hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to rapid change in patient condition, length of stay, and workload status.
