Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Angus Consulting Management Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for supervising workers and projects, coordinating and scheduling activities, and ensuring the health and safety regulations are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to optimize maintenance efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Recommend personnel actions to ensure the team is working effectively.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units.
  • Resolve product and service-related problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or services.
  • Assess client's needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services.
  • Troubleshoot problems related to equipment and machinery.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Plan, organize, and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of real estate infrastructures, including machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a maintenance or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 kg.

Security and Safety:

  • Criminal record check required.

  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Experience:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a maintenance or supervisory role.
