The Department of Physics in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Theoretical Biological Physics.
Job Summary:We seek a highly qualified candidate with a demonstrated record of excellence in research in Theoretical Biological Physics and in teaching broader areas of Physics. The successful candidate will have an established international reputation and will be expected to sustain and lead innovative and independent research, and to maintain an outstanding, internationally competitive, and externally funded research program.
Responsibilities:- Lead a strong independent research program in Theoretical Biological Physics
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Physics and Biological Physics
- Contribute to the enrichment of undergraduate and graduate programs
- Engage in research collaborations with the University of Toronto's life science and biomedical research communities
- PhD degree in Physics or a related field
- Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching
- Established international reputation in Theoretical Biological Physics
- Ability to lead a strong independent research program
