About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Camera Operator to join our team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our live production team, you will be responsible for operating studio cameras, including pedestal, handheld, and jib, for daily morning shows and all studio productions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate studio cameras to capture high-quality footage for live broadcasts
  • Liaise with production staff, including directors and producers, to set up and execute required shots
  • Act as a liaison with studio hosts and talent to ensure smooth execution of live shows
  • Assist with staging and setup of equipment for live productions
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of internal network systems, identifying and resolving technical issues to ensure seamless live broadcasts
  • Maximize resource utilization to meet the growing demands of Rogers Sports & Media's content offerings
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a camera operator in a live production environment
  • Deep technical knowledge of operating broadcast cameras and ancillary equipment
  • Excellent skills in color grading and manipulation
  • Natural curiosity and drive to deliver high-quality results
  • Care for people and the environment
  • Aptitude for working collaboratively with others and prioritizing team goals
  • Passion for live news and entertainment content
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, including knowledge of broadcast control systems and peripherals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
