About the Role

Oakridge Landscape Contractors is seeking a skilled and reliable Landscape Construction Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting in various physical activities related to the landscape gardening industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate daily with the Foreperson and crew members about tasks, schedules, and concerns.
  • Physical Labour: Perform heavy lifting and labor-intensive tasks with a positive attitude.
  • Weather Adaptability: Tolerate various weather conditions and work outdoors.
  • Pre-Job Preparation: Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time with appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Task Execution: Understand and complete tasks as instructed by the Foreperson, including equipment setup and daily preparations.
  • Appearance and Etiquette: Maintain a neat appearance and be polite to all onsite visitors.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate power equipment safely and responsibly, ensuring proper fuel usage.
  • Tool Maintenance: Report any damaged tools or equipment to the Foreperson.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Language Skills: Good command of the English language (verbal and written) with excellent communication skills.
  • Driver's License: Valid G driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Reliability and Transportation: Ability to work long hours and have reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Job Safety Knowledge: Strong knowledge of job safety and safe work habits.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, problem-solving, and a team player.
  • Professionalism: Respectful to staff, clients, and on-site safety protocols.
