Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Developmental Services Worker to join our team at the Developmental Disabilities Association. As a key member of our team, you will provide support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to clients with developmental disabilities
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care and household management
  • Develop and implement life skills workshops to promote independence and self-advocacy
  • Liaise with clients' families and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support
  • Assess and address clients' needs, including mental health and physical disabilities
  • Supervise activities and provide guidance to clients in a group home setting
  • Implement behavior management programs to promote positive behavior
  • Collaborate with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
