Job Title:

Developmental Disabilities Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Developmental Disabilities Worker to join our team at the Developmental Disabilities Association. The successful candidate will provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care and support to clients with developmental disabilities
  • Assist clients with daily living skills, such as bathing and dressing
  • Prepare reports and case histories
  • Assess client needs and eligibility for services
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Implement life skills workshops and behavior management programs
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. developmental disabilities, psychology, social work)
  • Completion of a Developmental Services Worker (DSW) training program
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Work Environment:

The Developmental Disabilities Worker will work in a group home setting, providing care and support to clients with developmental disabilities. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.
