Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist is a key member of the healthcare team, utilizing advanced knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality care to patients. With expertise in imaging techniques and radiation-emitting equipment, this professional ensures accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and pathology, as well as excellent clinical skills and leadership abilities. A collaborative approach to teamwork, patient flow, and quality improvement is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Diploma or Degree in Medical Radiation Sciences, Radiography from an accredited educational institution.
  2. CMRITO mandatory, MRT (R)
  3. OAMRS highly recommended.
  4. Current BCLS.
  5. Successful completion of IV contrast media injection course/experience required.
  6. Training in cross-sectional anatomy.
  7. Three years' experience in a hospital setting in Radiography and minimum one year's experience in CT.
  8. Proven knowledge of ALARA and radiation safety.
