Job Title: Tax Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our team. As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing tax provisions and corporate tax returns, including SR&ED forms and other tax credit claim forms. You will also update calculations of various tax balances and review commercial contracts to assess related tax risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tax provision and corporate tax returns, including SR&ED forms and other tax credit claim forms
  • Update calculations of various tax balances such as protected income, surplus accounts, ACB, capital dividend account, etc.
  • Review commercial contracts to assess related tax risks
  • Coordinate tax audits with tax authorities
  • Coordinate and follow up on instalment payments
  • Participate in the preparation of ad hoc transfer pricing documentation
  • Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations
  • Conduct research and analysis on key tax positions to properly manage associated tax risks
Requirements:
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and respond confidently to urgent management requests
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint environments, as well as of the SAP system
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and sense of urgency
