About the Role
Mondelēz International is seeking a skilled Pipefitter Maintenance Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining steam and chiller systems, performing safety inspections, and making repairs or adjustments as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain steam and chiller systems, including brazing, welding, and pipe repairs in hot and humid environments
- Perform safety inspections, lubricate, and make repairs or adjustments on machines as required
- Check machines in operation on a continual basis to detect problems and exercise judgment in executing necessary adjustments to maintain quality control standards
- Work from blueprints and operate machine shop equipment
- Share knowledge, learning's, and best practices with fellow mechanics to contribute to machine efficiency levels and decreasing machine breakdowns and downtime
- Keep accurate maintenance records and journals
- Work closely with operating colleagues to ensure high-quality products are produced while maintaining budgeted efficiencies
Requirements
- Steamfitter/Pipefitter License 307A or 4th Class Stationary Engineer Certification
- + 2 years of experience operating and maintaining steam and chillers preferred
- Proven welding experience (Brazing, Stick, and MIG welding)
Working Conditions
- This position occurs in a food manufacturing setting (plant environment)
- Exposure to noise, raw materials, some dust, and variable temperatures is common
- The use of personal protective equipment is required, particularly protective footwear and hearing protection as well as hard hats and safety glasses when required
