About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contract. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and planning support to our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile monthly financial statements and ensure compliance with grant funding agreements.
- Prepare financial analysis and reports to monitor key accounts and budget performance.
- Review and verify journal entries submitted by departments for accuracy.
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure expenses and revenue are reported in compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Prepare financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with the preparation of working papers, schedules, and reports of financial results.
- Prepare financial statements and ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
- CPA or equivalent experience.
- 3-7+ years' experience in Accounting & Budgeting.
- Business Degree or similar education/experience.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Process improvement experience is an asset.
- NPO experience is an asset.
