Job Description

The successful candidate will provide direct leadership to regional vice presidents and business development managers, ensuring they are successful in developing broker relationships and achieving sales targets. The Strategic Mortgage Sales Director will develop and support strategies related to sales, people, and financial targets aligned with Bank strategy while overseeing ancillary activities to support the management of a sales channel through the mortgage broker network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight to the Bank's mortgage broker sales, service, and marketing activities, including direct accountability for driving the implementation of key mortgage origination initiatives.
  • Develop, recommend, and execute applicable sales and marketing strategies, including the development of sales processes, training tools, and marketing materials.
  • Maintain strong relationships with centers of influence, such as mortgage broker associations and industry platforms, to promote the Bank's mortgage products.
  • Lead the Bank's sales team and relationship managers to establish strong linkages with customers and their mortgage brokers, improving retention and sustainable business growth.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the mortgage industry, preferably in progressively senior roles within a federally regulated Schedule I Bank.
  • Proven sales leadership experience and networking skills, ideally with commissioned salespeople, along with expert knowledge of performance management systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, sales, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, high-value corporate relationships.
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to focus on business needs and corporate objectives.
