Lead Cyber Architect Role

About the Opportunity

IDS International is seeking a highly skilled Lead Cyber Architect to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and configuring computer networks, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, Active Directory, VPNs, VLANs, and SANs. You will also be responsible for managing and configuring the Cybertropolis Technology Environment Platform (CTEP) contract, which provides a one-of-a-kind platform for DoD and Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) partners to conduct training or Research, Development, Testing & Experimentation (RDT&E) in a wide variety of emerging technology areas, primarily related to cyberspace and cyber-electromagnetic (CEMA) operations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity concepts, including network vulnerabilities, network attack vectors, attack signatures, and technical mitigation. They will also have experience working with a wide variety of technology, including camera systems, Industrial Control Systems, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, building management systems, and radio frequency (RF) communications devices.

As a Lead Cyber Architect, you will be responsible for leading the technical operations of the CTEP environment and managing multiple related projects to ensure the overall technical program is aligned with strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for assisting with the development of training scenarios to meet the needs of the customers utilizing the CTEP platform.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, as well as experience working with a wide variety of technology. You will also need to be able to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common objective.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and configure computer networks, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, Active Directory, VPNs, VLANs, and SANs.
  • Manage and configure the Cybertropolis Technology Environment Platform (CTEP) contract.
  • Lead the technical operations of the CTEP environment and manage multiple related projects.
  • Assist with the development of training scenarios to meet the needs of the customers utilizing the CTEP platform.
  • Collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common objective.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Meet the DOD 8570.01-M IAT III Certification requirements.
  • Expert knowledge in designing and configuring computer networks.
  • Experience working with a wide variety of technology.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
Computer Skills:
  • Cloud, physical, and virtual network engineering experience required.
  • Experience with hypervisors such as VMware, CypherPath, KVM, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Physical Demands:

Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
