Senior Process Engineer

The Senior Process Engineer will play a key role in supporting the operations, maintenance, and technical services departments at the Lloydminster Refinery. This position requires a strong understanding of process engineering principles and the ability to interpret operating data to identify areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of project front-end scopes, including high-level cost estimates and economic assessments.
- Oversee and direct special projects and sophisticated studies to optimize plant performance and efficiency.
- Manage and provide guidance for outsourced engineering work, including process optimization and scoping studies.
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Services team to provide expert review and sizing of upgraded or replacement equipment.
- Develop and oversee the creation of design case simulations for both brownfield and greenfield facilities.
- Provide strategic oversight and support for the implementation and sustainment of COIMS projects.
- Champion process safety by maintaining and updating Process Safety Information and leading Over Pressure Protection System by Design reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent engineering field with professional designation with APEGA or APEGS.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in operations or process engineering within an industrial facility.
- Strong leadership in personal and process safety, with the ability to lead and complete multidisciplinary initiatives efficiently.
- Proficiency and experience with SAP and refining simulation software such as Aspentech or Petrosim.
