We are looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on our fleet of heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Caterpillar and Volvo equipment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify and repair any deficiencies.
- Teach apprentices skills of the trade and proper techniques of repair.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
- Document work performed and complete work orders in a timely and accurate fashion.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Powertrains, Electrical troubleshooting, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic Systems, and After treatment Systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a strong attention to safety.
Work Environment:
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to dust, fumes, smoke, gases, odors, and excessive noises. Occasional exposure to chemicals, solvents, grease, or oil and slippery surfaces may also be required.
