Cybersecurity Architect Lead

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect Lead to join our team at Thomson Reuters. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing S-SDLC activities and controls that ensure our applications meet the highest level of security standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application security, including secure coding practices, supply chain security, and DevSecOps. You will be responsible for collaborating with product development teams to instill security best practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

About the Role

  • You will develop and implement security strategies and roadmaps to protect our applications from cyber threats.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks, ensuring that our products meet the highest security standards.
  • You will participate in threat modeling sessions and contribute to the creation of security guidance and documentation.
  • You will drive security projects, including security reviews, tool development, and the creation of new security practices.

About You

  • You have a strong understanding of how developers work and can present security initiatives in a way that leverages this understanding.
  • You are passionate about application security and have experience with secure coding practices, supply chain security, and DevSecOps.
  • You are able to analyze current processes and procedures and determine ways to improve and increase efficiency.

Technical Skills

  • Experience collaborating with product development teams directly to instill security best practices.
  • Experience building and reviewing threat models and recommending secure design patterns.
  • Deep technical understanding and experience assessing common security vulnerabilities and risks, as well as advising on countermeasures and compensating controls.
  • Experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA scans and the analysis of identified security findings/results.
  • Experience with DevSecOps in a cloud-native context and integrating security in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
