Job Title: Senior Manager, Compliance Business Oversight

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Compliance Business Oversight to join our team at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada). As a key member of our Compliance Department, you will be responsible for leading our Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program, ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements, and providing expert advice to our business lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of our RCM program, including the Global Regulatory Inventory and Control (GRIC) Standard.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maintain and manage Merlin LRR and control records from a compliance perspective.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and assess requirements, identify risks, and provide compliance advice that aligns with our Compliance strategy and objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of assigned Compliance programs or initiatives, including policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Monitor and assess the adequacy of, adherence to, and effectiveness of regulatory compliance management and conduct risk programs and controls for our business lines.
  • Engage with senior management and stakeholders to develop and implement proactive strategies to drive efficiencies while effectively managing regulatory compliance risks and requirements.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Canadian securities industry courses or training, project management training.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in regulatory, compliance, or risk management.
  • Significant expertise in securities and/or banking regulations.
  • Strong influence skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple management teams.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, with support from the AVP on key issues.
  • Demonstrated excellence in business presentation skills, including verbally, in writing, and in management reporting.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative business relationships.
