Materials Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Manager to join our team at ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks North America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of materials and supplies to meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the planning and implementation of manufacturing processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply chain.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize storage capacity.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to machinery and equipment.
- Provide training and support to shipping and receiving personnel to ensure accurate and efficient receipt and dispatch of materials.
- Assist with the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency and productivity.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of recent experience in material management at a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier level.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Advanced Excel.
- Experience working with AS400 systems or other relevant MRP systems.
- Experience working with international customs and freight transportation.
