About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Delta Cedar Saw Mill LP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe execution of carpentry tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning

Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for carpentry projects, taking into account factors such as material availability and project timelines.

Carpentry and Construction

Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create high-quality carpentry products.

Project Management

Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Team Leadership

Instruct and supervise apprentices, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.

Quality Control

Ensure that all carpentry work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.

Personal Qualities

Judgment, reliability, and a strong team player attitude are essential for this role.

Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a typical workweek of 30 to 40 hours.

Language

English is the primary language used in this role.
