Animal Husbandry Specialist

VanBoekel Holdings is seeking an experienced Livestock Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our livestock management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our animals.

We are looking for someone with excellent animal handling skills, who is able to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of tasks related to animal care, including feeding, monitoring health, and maintaining records.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with livestock, preferably in a farming or agricultural setting. They will also possess strong physical stamina, as this role involves standing for extended periods and lifting heavy equipment.

• Feed and tend to animals, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and care
• Monitor animal health, detecting any signs of illness or disease
• Maintain accurate records of animal performance and health
• Clean and maintain animal enclosures and equipment
• Assist with farm machinery maintenance and operation

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of experience working with livestock preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment

We offer a competitive salary of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
