Security Officer Job Description
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents in a hospital setting.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance.
* Conduct interior and exterior patrols within the hospital and surrounding areas, including the operation of the Switchboard duties.
* Perform a variety of preventative and reactive duties, including but not limited to, responding to incidents, providing Use of Force/Restraint as required, and providing security escort services.
* Maintain accurate logs and notebook entries of all shift activity and calls for service.
* Investigate and follow-up on incidents, and write accurate reports upon completion.
**Requirements:**
* Diploma in Police Foundations, Protection Security & Investigations, Border Services, or Criminology required.
* Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
* Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
* Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2).
* Proof of double COVID-19 Vaccination.
* Proficient in English, both written and oral.
* Vulnerable Sector Check.
**Additional Requirements:**
* Successful completion of Paladin's online courses, including Customer Service, Patrol Procedures, Diversity Awareness, and others.
**Certification Requirements:**
* Standard First Aid, CPR Level C.
* Valid Ontario Security License.
