Long Haul Truck Driver

Virtuous Truck Lines Ltd is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Load and unload goods at designated locations
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Valid passport
- Criminal record check
- Driving record check (abstract)
- Willing to travel cross-border
- Willing to travel for extended periods
- Willing to travel internationally
As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working on the road, driving for extended periods and overnight stays. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and ensuring timely delivery.
