Key Responsibilities- Lead the Data Insights team, setting the vision and direction for data analytics and machine learning.
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Manage a team of data analysts and scientists, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
- Evolve CARFAX Canada's Data Governance maturity, ensuring data accuracy, privacy, security, and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with the Product team and other departments to understand data needs and communicate the value of data insights.
- Manage data-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and ethical guidelines.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in data analytics and technology, implementing innovative solutions to enhance data capabilities.
- Proven experience as a data leader with a successful history of leading through influence.
- Experience implementing Data Governance is an asset.
- 5-7 years' experience in the application of advanced analytics in a data company.
- Solid understanding of database technologies, particularly in a Microsoft Azure production environment.
- Experience working with large volumes of data from disparate sources.
- Experience with Agile Development methodology is an asset.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and advanced analytical tools.
- R, Python, SAS or other statistical software experience.
- Master's degree in Advanced Data Analytics is considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent program and project management skills.
