About the Role

As a Vice President within our Mid-Market Leverage Finance team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Corporate Client Group (CCG) by structuring, executing, and managing senior secured leveraged lending transactions. This position focuses specifically on Private Equity (PE)-owned or backed companies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a growing national team dedicated to providing exceptional credit solutions to PE-backed businesses.
  • Work under the guidance of Managing Directors and Directors to structure, deliver, monitor, and manage both syndicated and bilateral loan transactions.
  • Provide in-depth research, analysis, and data (market, industry, client-specific) to support CCG's advisory services on optimal loan structures. This includes assessing risks and returns associated with loan transactions.
  • Contribute to the team's mission by developing a robust business pipeline, securing new clients, and closing loan transactions that meet revenue targets.
  • Assist in managing the MMLF loan portfolio, including reporting significant risk shifts and identifying new opportunities.
  • Play a key role in credit submissions for MMLF loans and associated analyses.
  • Lead and assist in creating compelling pitch materials for both existing and potential clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with various RBC partners and functions.

What You Bring to the Table

Essential requirements include an undergraduate degree in Business or Economics, experience in corporate lending or Mid-Market Leverage Finance, meticulous attention to detail when reviewing legal documents, strong financial modeling skills, and excellent analytical abilities.

What Sets You Apart

A deep understanding of RBC's internal processes, a CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional designation, advanced computer skills, and experience in private equity lending would be highly advantageous.
