Job Summary

Cameco Corporation is seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at the Key Lake operation in northern Saskatchewan. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all gasoline, diesel, and propane-powered automotive equipment, buses, and recreational vehicles on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on automotive equipment, including inspections and servicing as specified by preventative maintenance work orders.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and assist heavy-duty mechanics in the maintenance of other mobile equipment.
  • Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.

Requirements

  • Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson automotive service technician certificate.
  • Five years of related experience in an industrial, mill, or mining environment.
  • Ford-trained mechanic and Ford Integrated Diagnostic System experience.
  • Rim and tire safety training.

Assets

  • Recreation Vehicle Service Technician certification.
  • Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification.
  • SAP experience.

Conditions of Employment

Preference

Preference will be given to qualified internal applicants and residents of Saskatchewan's North.
